Dual-Speed Modifications
With the advent of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), many manufacturers have ceased producing Dahlander (dual-speed) motors. These motors operate by switching the number of poles, offering a straightforward solution for applications requiring variable speeds. However, due to the rising popularity of VFDs and the high cost of producing dual-speed motors in small quantities, manufacturers now often outsource the conversion of new single-speed motors to local shops for rewinding. We provide this same service, allowing you to modify your motors to dual-speed at a fraction of the cost.
Voltage Change
When upgrading a facility or relocating, many clients discover that their equipment’s voltage does not match their new site’s supply. Options include using transformers to adjust the voltage or having the motors rewound to suit the different supply voltage. We offer both services: supplying transformers and rewinding motors to operate at alternative voltages.
Speed Changes
Motor speed depends on the frequency of the supply voltage and the number of poles per phase winding. If a different speed is required and replacing the motor is not feasible, our shop can rewind most motors to operate at the desired speed.
Mechanical Modifications
Some motors require physical modifications to fit new applications. We can modify motor shafts and replace bearings among other services. Please contact us for more details.
Guarantee
Our extensive experience allows us to confidently offer all our customers a 1-year warranty on our rewinds and rebuilds, a testament to our commitment to quality.
